The Hat
What does a sauna hat actually do?
A sauna hat adds an insulating layer between your head and the hottest air overhead. Humi helps soften how that heat feels across the scalp, ears and crown, making the session feel more comfortable and less likely to be cut short.
Why would I wear one if I usually go without?
Going without leaves your head taking the full overhead heat. If your scalp and ears feel done before the rest of your body, Humi provides a more comfortable, purpose-built alternative to towels, bandanas or wet-hair workarounds.
What makes Humi different from other sauna hats?
Humi combines the functional benefits of a sauna hat with a softer material, secure fit and clean, understated shape. Made from 100% Australian merino wool, it is designed to feel like a considered part of the routine rather than a bulky or novelty-led accessory.
Will Humi fit me?
Humi is designed to fit most adult head sizes comfortably. It has an internal circumference of 54–62 cm, a height of 28 cm and a 6 cm brim.
What types of sauna can I wear Humi in?
Humi is designed for use in both traditional and infrared saunas.
Does Humi help protect hair and scalp?
Humi adds a soft insulating layer between your hair, scalp and the overhead sauna heat, helping reduce direct exposure where the heat often feels most intense.
Materials and Care
What is Humi made from?
Humi is made from 100% Australian merino wool. It also includes a 100% cotton internal loop, and each hat arrives in a reusable 100% cotton bag.
Why merino wool?
We chose 100% Australian merino wool for its soft feel, breathable insulation and natural ability to help manage moisture. It is also naturally less odour-prone between sessions, making it well suited to repeated sauna use.
Won’t a wool hat make my head hotter?
It may sound counterintuitive, but wool acts as an insulating layer between your head and the hottest air overhead. Humi uses breathable merino wool to help soften how that heat feels across the scalp, ears and crown without becoming heavy or clammy through the session.
How do I care for it?
Hand wash only in cool water using a gentle wool detergent. Avoid wringing or twisting. Gently reshape the hat after washing and allow it to air dry fully before your next session.
Does it come with a travel pouch?
Yes. Every Humi hat comes with a reusable cotton travel pouch to help keep it clean and protected between sessions.
Orders and Delivery
Where do you ship?
We ship Australia-wide and internationally. Supported destinations are shown at checkout — enter your address to see if we ship to you.
How much is shipping?
Standard shipping is free Australia-wide, with express shipping available for $15. International shipping is calculated at checkout based on your destination, so you will see the exact cost before paying.
How long will my order take?
Orders are usually processed within 1–2 business days unless the product is listed as a preorder. Delivery estimates are shown at checkout, and tracking is sent once your order has been dispatched.
Returns and Support
What is your return policy?
We accept change-of-mind returns within 14 days of delivery. The hat must be unused, unworn in the sauna, unwashed and returned in its original condition. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law remain unaffected.
Do you offer exchanges?
We do not offer direct exchanges. If you would like a different colour, please return your original order and place a new order separately.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Contact us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an order. If it has not yet been dispatched, we will do our best to help. Preorders may be cancelled at any time before dispatch.
